Families in "food deserts" are gardening at home - and they need your help...
I'm a member of the board for The Wildwoods Foundation, where our motto is "we're not saving nature - nature is saving us." We help kids from urban Los Angeles get into nature and get the natural, ecological grounding they need to make better sense of the world and become tomorrow's community leaders.
We were very proud of our community garden at Magnolia Place, where kids from some of the least "green" parts of LA got together to get their hands dirty, make stuff grow, and get in touch with the rhythms of nature. Alas, that doesn't work in the era of COVID-19,
So we've refocused that energy to help the same families grow their own gardens at home. That's what SeedLinks is all about. And we need your help!
Your donation will work wonders to further this mission, show a new generation the wonders of nature, and earn my you estimable respect and gratitude.
As issues of social and economic equity come into focus - and climate change looms heavily in the background - making these resources easier to get will make a big difference.
