Hey Friends and Family!

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of LA families in need by supporting The Wildwoods Foundation's SeedLinks home garden program.

As many of you know, I have been a proud member of The Wildwoods Foundation's board for the past few years. In that time, I've watched our incredible team make a difference in the lives of children and families in need throughout Los Angeles, through educational programs that bring them to nature or nature to them. Inequitable access to nature and green space for poor communities and the long-term impact it has to social and economic opportunity has always been at the heart of our mission. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has forced us to rethink how we can help.

One of our most recent programs involved a community garden at our Magnolia Place office, where families could come together to grow fruits and vegetables. Since these families live in a "food desert," gardening increases the likelihood of their kids eating healthy foods. But it turned out to nourish more than just their bellies - it became a place that fostered friendships and social connectedness. When the office, and therefore the garden, was forced to close due to COVID-19, we decided to shift our energy and bring the garden to them. That's how SeedLinks was born.

I am pledging my support and asking for your help to set up home gardens for 20 families in need. Please make a donation of whatever you can afford and make a difference today!

A $40 donation is equivalent to two large (15-20 gallon) Smart Pot containers.

A $75 donation is equivalent to a complete container garden set-up for one family, including soil, tools, and seeds or seedlings.

A $100 donation is equivalent to a complete container garden set-up for one family, plus the staff time and mileage for prep, delivery, and ongoing support.

Thanks for your support!

Paul
