Help address food security and economic stability for families in need.
The Wildwoods Foundation's community garden program gave families from some of the least "green" parts of LA a chance to come together, get their hands dirty, make stuff grow, and get in touch with the rhythms of nature. Now, thanks to COVID, the program has refocused to help those families grow their own gardens at home! That's just the start of what SeedLinks is about.
Families who garden spend more time outdoors together, eat healthier diets, and save money. Kids who garden have more self-esteem and have an advanced understanding of scientific principles, and that translates into higher grades.
Even a small donation will go a long way:
A $40 donation is equivalent to two large (15 – 20 gallon) Smart Pot containers.
A $75 Donation is equivalent to a complete container garden set-up, including soil, tools, and seeds or seedlings.
A $100 donation is equivalent to staff time and mileage for prep, delivery, online support for one family.
Or a recurring monthly donation helps us reach more families.
